We would like to inform you of a change in the shareholding structure of Infinite Partners. As part of the firm’s spin-out from Ethos Private Equity, Ethos retained a 25% shareholding in Infinite Partners alongside the founding team. This arrangement recognised the transition of the mid-market investment strategy from Ethos to the newly established independent platform. Since Infinite Partners’ inception, Ethos has remained a passive shareholder and has had no operational or strategic involvement in the business.
We are pleased to confirm that Infinite Partners has now concluded the transaction to repurchase Ethos’s shareholding, resulting in the firm becoming 100% owned by the founding team. Importantly, this transaction does not change the strategy, governance, or day-to-day operations of the business. The same leadership team that you have backed since inception continues to lead the firm and remains fully focused on delivering strong outcomes for our investors.
The change in ownership further strengthens alignment between the firm and its investors. Infinite Partners is now a fully founder-owned, proudly 100% black-owned business, and we have considerably increased our female ownership. The transaction also creates greater flexibility for the firm to consider future long-term incentive and better aligned growth structures that support the firms’ growth and the retention of the broader investment team.
When we founded the business three years ago, our goal was to become South Africa’s leading mid-market private equity investor, independently and wholly owned by the team driving outcomes for our investors, investee companies and business partners. This move propels us closer to achieving this ambition and continues to cement the alignment between our team and our investors. It further underpins our core belief: when people, capital, and purpose align, momentum follows.
